Dia Haque was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and raised in Gifu, Japan. Fourteen schools in three countries and five states later, she graduated from Rutgers University where she pursued biology and global women and gender issues. Dia received her DMD degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She worked on launching the vaccine for the Human Papilloma Virus within the context of head and neck cancers at the Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunization in Geneva and developing Oral Health Practice guidelines for Pregnancy and Early Childhood at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Dia would like to pursue a degree in public health and see where these opportunities take her. One interesting fact about Dia is that she has won first place in a unicycle race. Dia enjoys to spend her time oil painting, getting lost in a foreign city, and taking selfies with her 2 year old niece.
