Hamilton Community Health Network (HCHN) is currently seeking a Dentist to join our dental team. HCHN is dedicated to providing comprehensive, quality, community-oriented healthcare and is the largest FQHC in Genesee County. General Responsibilities As a member of the Dental team, this position is responsible for the following:
• Performs all general dentistry services, including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and related oral health issues.
• Prescribes medications to patients as assigned or as needed. • Cleans, fills, extracts and replaces teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements.
• Advises patients on dental care and education issues as needed.
• Protects patients' oral health by treating abnormalities of teeth and gums and prescribes preventive procedures.
• Ensures patients receive educational materials and information that pertain to dental health needs.
• Refers patients to specialists when required and in accordance with their insurance restrictions.
• Performs required dental procedures and develops and implements goals and objectives to ensure high quality, cost-effective clinical care. Education and/or Experience
• Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Michigan, preferably with dental family practice experience.
• Must have DEA registration. Licensed providers may earn up to $50,000 toward student loans in exchange for a two-year employment commitment at HCHN. For more information, go to: www.nhsc.hrsa.gov/loanrepayment.
