Albany Area Primary Health Care, Inc. (AAPHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center/Community Health Center and is one of the largest practice groups in Albany, Georgia. The organization provides high quality health care to residents across nine Southwest Georgia counties. Albany Area Primary Health Care, Inc. first began operating dental services in 2008 at West Albany Dental and Medical Center which included 4 dental operatories, 1 Dentist, 2 Dental Assistants and 1 Dental Hygienists. AAPHC’s dental department has grown tremendously over the years and now has 2 main dental sites, 2 sites inside of two schools, 1 site at our OBGYN facility, 1 site in the local hospital and 1 site inside of our co-located family practice and behavioral health clinic. Space is now available for two AEGD residents (NYU Langone Dental Residency program) and dental students from Augusta University. The dental staff sees a large number of medically complex patients with and without insurance. The Dental residents and students will gain vast experience with a wide range of opportunities within these dental sites!

Albany, Georgia is found along the Plantation Trace region of Southwest Georgia. Albany is the metropolitan hub of our area creating the perfect mix of big city amenities and small town charm. Albany, Georgia is located 182 miles from Atlanta, Georgia, 86 miles from Columbus, Georgia, 106 miles from Macon, Georgia, 249 miles from Savannah, Georgia. Albany is also close to some lovely beaches which includes Destin, Florida (193 miles) and Jacksonville, Florida (206 miles). Albany is home to Chehaw Zoo, the Flint River Aquarium and many outdoor activities such as kayaking along the Flint River. The community is very friendly which will give you a great opportunity to respond to the often talked about southern hospitality.
