Kansas

Kansas is a Midwestern State that borders the states of Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouir, and Nebraska. Kansas is a very productive agriculatural state that produces large amounts of soybeans, sorghum, wheat, and corn. Kansas became the 34th state in 1861. The Capital of Kansas is in Topeka. Kansas has a temperate continental climate the experience somewhat extreme summer and winter temparatures for short periods of time. Kansas has a unique cultural life that focuses on folk arts. The riverfront area houses a number of jazz clubs due to it's rich history in the Jazz music scene. The vast state park system in Kansas calls visitors from across the country.
