An excellent model of healthcare. Ravenswood Family Health Center provides healthcare and dental care to the underserved, uninsured and most vulnerable low-income residents of communities in southeastern San Mateo County and has established an excellent model of healthcare that integrates primary medical care, prevention and health education, behavioral health counseling and social services and full scope dental services. Since opening in December 2001, Ravenswood operates two medical clinics: one in East Palo Alto and the other in the Belle Haven neighborhood of East Menlo Park. The Ravenswood Mobile Health Clinic, a gift of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, makes services available at schools and once a week for the homeless at sites where they congregate. Ravenswood Family Dentistry, a state-of-the-art, full-service dental clinic in East Palo Alto, opened in April 2010, and is located next door to the Center for Health Promotion featuring a branch of the Stanford Health Library.
