Family Health Centers' vision is to improve patient outcomes by providing primary health care, preventive health care, disease management and health related educational services to everyone, including the medically underserved, migratory agricultural worker families, the homeless, and other special populations who require access to health care.

Residents will gain experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery and endodontics in addition to treatment planning and general dentistry in a very respectful and professional learning environment. They will receive mentorship from experienced faculty and work with highly trained dental assistants while caring for a diverse patient population.

FHCSF is one of the largest multi-specialty primary health care provider groups in Lee, Charlotte, and western Hendry Counties.  It operates 19 medical and 9 dental offices along with 8 outreach sites.  FHCSF remains true to its original mission, caring for over 2,500 migrant and seasonal farm workers and their families, as well as approximately 3,700 homeless individuals in 2014.

What types of technologies can I expect to use?  Digital sensors for radiographs and CBCT, digital intraoral scanners 

Residents will gain experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery and endodontics in addition to implant restorations, treatment planning and general dentistry in a very respectful and professional learning environment.  Residents have access to multiple operatories to gain experience with running a multi-chair practice as they progress through the year.
